I also don't get people with arachnophobia, I think spiders are cute
Hint for depression, or anybody : be an Optimist.
"But if it was that easy, I'd not be depressed.
And why are you changing the topic, anyhow?"
Well, just force yourself to think about the positive of things that cause you stress. You don't have to believe it; just think about the "benefits" that something can have. Even if you don't know one : find one.
The saying is, "fake it 'til you make it".
Poodlenoodles, the reason most people fear the "wild type of spiders" (I'm fine with tarantulas that are somebody's pet; those are cute, and quite light) is the possibility of that spider biting them and causing them problems.
That, plus those many legs (think about the harmless centipede). They look like needles to some people, and have learned that animals with "needle-like" things can hurt you.
Same with nonpoisonous snakes; you may know that snake isn't poisonous, but you wouldn't wanna risk getting bitten by one in the wild (meaning your house).
Of course, you shouldn't go into a panic attack, or something's wrong. xD
Stay away, people!
You might call this a Phobia . a CS-Phobia when i see this guy my finger urges me to switch channel fast.
