So I don't much about the searching thingy.
Yes, I wish they kept some things, but in general, I still enjoy youtube. And chances are, most other people aren't really "that hardcore" youtube, meaning they don't have accounts, they don't spend all of their time on youtube (meaning daily :P).
Most are just very casual [citation needed].
However, I don't think youtube will "fall" soon. I've seen Metacafe, Dailymotion, and whatever other video service there is (Google videos is better than those, but still eh). They suck. I'd rather use youtube with half the features it does now than use those.
But, like all things, it will fall. It's only inevitable.
I think the way to go is to put a limit on the tags. Maybe 20 maximum, and don't allow inappropriate words :P.
I especially hate videos that people upload, which solely consist of photos.. those should be on a different website or something
This is what I agree with.
Mostly, because 99% of these are boring. There are some that are done really nice, but otherwise, I don't care for them. They aren't "videos" in the way I want it; they are just "collages".
When people first start using the net, do they even want to put up with ads? No.
When people watch a video on any site, do they want to see ads? No.
And yet some of these people, one day start uploading their own videos, get the idea of making money through annoying ads, and then suddenly they have forgotten how annoying ads are (for other people), and allow ads on their own videos. Hence the label "Youtube ♥♥♥♥♥".
And then one day the more known Youtube users start complaining about a new layout.
People complaining because certain annoying Youtube users getting more views for unfunny videos than them?
The fans of one user being invaded by another lot of fans. All of them arguing in the comments section.
Non users complaining about any of it.
What do you all expect? Thats the way its meant to be.
Some say that TV back in the day was watchable. Not a single thing called an advertisement was seen or existed.
Then the ads came, being deliberately played louder even though the volume is turned down. Same thing with the video ads.
Even if Youtube goes away, another will do the same thing. Just give a site enough popularity, and it becomes more obvious its just an advertising parasite.
