But they are legally able to lock you up in a cell by yourself with only 1 hour of sunlight for your whole entire life? What is morally worse to you?

I guess it makes sense. If they don't say "Your soul is mine" while doing this, the whole thing doesn't look so bad

The second you are found guilty of committing a crime, you are no longer afforded the rights of people who didnt.

the right of not being a slave?
if someone found guilty of a crime has to work for free, there's an obvious incentive to find people guilty of any crime

yeah this is also why, for example, america having essentially slave worker criminals, leads to more arrests of minorities (especially black people)

The right of not being forcefully taken from your home and forced to sit in a cell by yourself for ever? Yes, when you commit a crime, you lose your rights. Thats the deterrent.

How much do you think people in prison working for free actually contributes to the gdp? Most people in prison want to work because they are bored as hell and just want time out of their cell.
was abolished in my country some years ago, of which i am sort of thankful because mikheil saakashvili now gets to sit in a prison cell for the rest of his life.

Black people committing the vast majority of crime leads them to being in jail more. People in prison want to pick up garbage on the side of the highway because it allows them to get out of the cell for a bit.
