humanity is lazy and our brains favor association; so we want our brain's power (association) to have immediate and real properties in our lives. things independent of the mechanics of our brain, or of interfaces that could make this relationship real.

for instance a machine god that reads all your thoughts, manipulates your life based on those and your emotional state and intent, and predates humanity relativistically.

same reason edgelords tend to have a mental problem informing the behavior. it's the same process, the same belief in thoughts > actuality.
