Weekend Challenge
Are you disturbed by the events of this week? This month? This year?

I challenge you to stay off social media this weekend. Don't come here, or Facebook, or any of the other social media sites you normally frequent. You might even go farther, and don't read any news stories anywhere on the internet. Or watch any news on television.

Live your life for one weekend, as though social media and the main stream media don't exist.

If you do this, I think you will be less stressed on Monday morning.

I will be doing this, starting at midnight tonight, until midnight Sunday night. If you accept this challenge, come back Monday and tell us how it went.

Well I have an interview Monday so I'll need to sleep earlier
If you're afraid of the wolves, don't go into the woods
I quit social media a long time ago and closed my YouTube channel this year. I removed any news sites from my browser's home pages because it's all content farm clickbait trash.

I started buying tons of books this year. I'm not talking about boring academic stuff but fun coffee table books and basic primers about pop culture, art, fashion, design and architecture. My life has improved by leaps and bounds.

I never was allowed to use social media when I was younger and the only ones I really use are these forums and YouTube, even then I tend to stay away from the political stuff on YT

My social media is full of skimpy dressed girls.

Reminds of the story about the woman hiker that got attacked by wolves and eaten. I think if she was with someone she might have survived but she by herself.

This morning I went on a walk to help clear my mind. What happen to Charlie Kirk was tragic, he died leaving a wife and two kids. Those kids are going to grow up and probably wonder why God took their father and didn't protect him. My father died when I was young. So yeah I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I don't like to think about it too much. So I tried to find something whether it's a movie or game I haven't played or just getting out of the house.

Yes it is. That is why I mentioned it first, since everyone who reads this, is here on it.

Enjoy your time, Grendal. Always wondered if your username was an offshoot of the band. But yeah, your time. My time. Everyone else's time, all of our energy. It feels a lot better to just live and not be stuck behind a screen like some drooling zombie. I won't be back Monday though. Take care. :Wing:

Heh, my name is my cat's name. But if you choose not to come back here, good luck!
Well I'm back. The weekend off was great. Having perused just the thread titles posted this weekend, I see I didn't miss much.🙄
