Colombia strikes back against Trump's Lies
In a major expansion of imperialist warmongering throughout the Caribbean region, US President Donald Trump denounced the president of Colombia as a narcotics trafficker and imposed major economic penalties on the country.

President Petro has done more than most to combat drug trafficking, not only within Colombia, but across the entire region. Under his leadership, Colombia has worked closely with the United States military to curb drug trafficking throughout South America and the Caribbean.

"Listen, President Trump. we are Colombia, not ‘Columbia.’ Spell it right. You don’t even know the name of our country. From the Senate of Colombia, I categorically and energetically reject the unfounded, disrespectful, and dangerously misinformed accusations issued by Donald Trump against the Colombian state. Colombia does not kneel before threats or blackmail, no matter where they come from. We are a sovereign nation that has paid with blood the price of the war against drug trafficking, a war that has been waged for decades, often under rules imposed by others."

Well, He has done a terrible job then Colombians are still caught trafficking drugs around the world.
It is either incompetency or malice and Trump thinks is the latter.

Colombian cocaine production has increased around 50% under his government according to the UN

How dare you trump is a hero and is doing gods work!
Well if Americans* could stop doing huge amounts of coke for one second, we wouldn't have this issue in the first place

Just another Narco employee. An opposition candidate was shot and killed and Colombia is producing more Cocaine than ever before but the president is doing "more than most" to first world leftists just because he spoke against the bad orange man. Lmao.

Rather than waging a militarised drug war that devastated rural communities, Petro is shifting focus to development, inclusion, and environmental restoration.
He’s offering farmers a path out of coca production, not through punishment, but through partnership. This is a humane, evidence-based model aligned with modern global thinking on drug policy reform.

I mean, violence has been working so far. That's why the drug trade is so small.

So they both want to stop drug trafficking, but Trump thinks that Colombia is not doing enough? Not really an insult if they both want more, unless Colombia thinks that they don't need to do more.
Columbia is an American spelling, so whatever, I find his comment funny, it sounds like something Trump would say to someone else doing a misspell.
