.I just wanted to take a moment to thank the entire Valve team and Mr. Gabe Newell for everything you've created.
Steam has changed gaming forever — it’s not just a store, but a real home for millions of players around the world.

Your respect for gamers, your fair refund policy, constant updates, and care for the community mean a lot to us.
We can truly feel that Valve listens and values its players.

The alternative is Microsoft and Nintendo... are you kidding me? The fact that he hasn't made Valve a publicly traded company says a lot. **** Microsoft. Newell is leading the distribution of Linux by distributing lord knows how many steam decks to young people.

Considering everything has gone digital, it is a good thing Steam has as good policies as it does. I would of hated see what it would look like if EA was the default platform for buying games. I still dislike physical media has been systematically been phased out in on PC.

Half-life, Portal and L4D were each masterpieces on their own. While Valve hasn't released any major 1st party titles in a while (VR Alyx doesn't count), their work with Proton and Vulkan to break Microsoft's stranglehold is uplifting the entire industry.

Though they've harmed the gaming industry a bit with the skins and trading cards nonsense, and normalizing microtransactions and gambling.

Yeah, but also started this whole game launcher race garbage and is the reason why physical copies died.

I agree, Steam is amazing! It always was. It wasn't until 2010 that it got the love it always deserved but it has always been a gem in the gaming world

Lol single-handedly ruin multiplayer gaming with gambling, but yes, hes da man!
