Where would you go if

in 15 years social security collapsed and the poor decided to, "eat the rich?"

I don't mean literally. I mean where will you go when tens of millions are no longer getting free food, free housing, retirement and military paychecks, government salaries, and healthcare and they decide to start taking it from you?

A lot of cities here in Ohio have 0 industry except medical and government jobs- both paid for by the same budget. Hypothetically let's say entire cities, entire counties, go bankrupt.

That's when you invest in lead not gold and grow your own food. Sorry but you're in a dystopian scenario based on your description. It's survival at this point. Walmart and McDonald's aren't coming back anytime soon.

P.S. I don't advocate for any violence. I was only answering a hypothetical question. I would like to assume people would work together in real life to solve food crisis issues but unfortunately we all know that probably won't happen.

So you would stay and, "ride it out?" What if you did have an option to leave? Where would you go? Hypothetically let's say that only the american social security system is collapsing.

I was thinking Argentina. With the globe warming up think about how easy it would be to just walk south into Antarctica to cool off. The climate is really similar to the US and I'm pretty sure there's still silver in those hills.

According to google there is no golden visa in mexico so perhaps I was mistaken or perhaps the program was discontinued. Thailand is 13.5million though. https://smart-visa.boi.go.th/smart/

Sorry to say it, but if the States collapses then so do other countries. Maybe not at first but it will have a domino effect. In some shape or way other countries will feel the pinch, massive amounts of immigration, food, supply shortage. Other countries would only succumb to this chain of events.

To get to that point, the whole world will have to be experiencing a great depression, or worse. I would expect most governments will start a war to keep the economy going, but if the supply system total shuts down, I'd expect anything within 20 days walk of any city will soon be scoured clean by people in the manner locus did when they swarm.

I do think that there would be profound effects globally but I don't think it would affect other countries as much as you believe. Using Argentina as an example since I mentioned it: Argentina imports approximately 6.22 billion usd of goods and services which primarily includes petroleum and medicine, not food or clothing or construction materials.

You don't need nationality to live there, and there are plenty of ways to stay indefinitely.
Government website is not going to say you can buy any documents as long as you pay the right person.

Israel and Russia already making their own town here.
Dunno about Mexico though.

last place on anyone's list would be america lol its already bad enough as it is.
I would build a under water fortress in the deep ocean with its own shopping mall etc mini city and route my gpu and cpu into the ocean for ultimate water cooling lol
