Also, the advent of mass-agriculture also caused a BIG rise in problems.
I was 12.
And it felt like the world had changed.
Now, there's such a constant sewer-stream of "content" that finding something worthwhile is basically an exercise in picking peanuts out of poop.
Less was more, and the more that is dropped on us, the less sticks.
That's what's depressing.
