Nah, I'm gonna be honest, if you use it outside of those contexts, you sound pretty stupid and it's also just disrespectful considering the heavy nature of the topics, especially if you're talking about these topics in the context of real people/real cases. So I will indeed blame it on the zoomers.

Even in context I still think it sounds stupid even if I understand why it's done, although I wonder if you're going to make a video like this you should maybe just take the L and accept getting demonetized (although obviously if the video just can't be uploaded outright without being taken down I guess it's a different story). Don't know if that's a hot take but that's my opinion.

It's because social media platforms will often auto-censor comments that use the actual words, regardless of the context. These words were substituted so that you can still understand the context discreetly without getting silenced by the platforms' dumb algorithms.

Now if you're using this slang where this censorship doesn't apply, then yeah, it sounds stupid. Slang in general will usually sound stupid in comparison to the proper words. It's nothing new and will continue to change throughout the generations.

The worst one is people who say "ahh" as a way of censoring the word "ass", but they'll still say the n word no problem.

Reason why I say the "safe for work" version of those words is because Steam will find a way to put you on time out. So you have to use the sfw version. If this was 4chan I would have no filter.
