Unforgiven. You could make it a farming/survival game. You have to prepare for a 1000-mile trip to kill some no-good cowboys. You'll also have to deal with sheriff Daggett and his posse, snakes, wildlife, hunger, illness, weather, could have co-op with Ned and The Schofield Kid...

Call it "The Duck of Death".
Arny - although arguably it is Commando.

Alternatively :
Easy Rider,
The film is about two guys on Bikes at the end of the 60s (when it was made).
They are travelling to Mardi Gras and the film is just about them riding and it was not unrealistic there was not anything far out about it.
But it was a defining piece of movie making and the film was pretty spot on.

As a game I would make it about riding a motorcycle across America and visiting places in a First person kind of way but you can do the 3rd person out of choice if you want.
The goal is to just experience it and hopefully not get killed off for any bad decisions you make when interacting with people.
Or not get away from people wanting to hurt you for being a biker / hippy.

I’m not sure why Home Alone came to mind- maybe because I'm thinking about Christmas? :winter2019joyfultearsgingerbread:
I'd imagine the game would be light-hearted and quirky, something fun for both the kids and family.
Scanner Darkly
Edge of Tomorrow would make for an incredible rogue-lite.

Agree with Pacific Rim :steamthis:

Event Horizon a less shooty version of dead space. I think Frictional Games could pull this off.

Blade Runner if cyberpunk 2077 was done right.

There is a Home Alone game on SNES. You jump over objects and collect stuff. It's meh.
G5 MLP.

Ever since Zipp Storm's first appearance, I've thought about her on an adventure with wing-blades, strutting through Tairon City.

After all, Team Ninja does have history of butting into other franchises. (Hyrule Warriors)

Spy vs Spy but with a Home Alone skin could work.

I have no idea they actually did have a game lol, hmm how about- a remake or something of it-
it’d be really cool with the technology we have to date.
