on the lowest difficulty a mere bat did 25% of my hp.. but oddly the option just above that.. is lower.
dying once and having to start at zero.
but today.. these days. i really dont need to be tortured.
It's not just about the rewards, it's the whole experience of playing a different mode.
i usually start on easy to get into the vibe and then ramp up as needed once i'm used to the gameplay.
but some games start off hard in any case.
some players are so bad at admitting defeat.. they play with hax and cheats on the hardest difficulty just for achievements and glory. it creates a unrealistic statistic.
I know some games like Baby Steps and Wings of Vi, the difficulty is the point and a difficult game is the sort of game they wanted to make.
so many games i enjoy, like sub level zero, good old descent vibes.
but the easy mode does not really make it easy.
it lacks proper feedback on when death is near and the warning comes too late.
i know it's a roguelike so when you die.. you die and start over.
doom eternal i played on easy but ir became such a mission to get ammo i got frustrated at the needless mechanics just to use my shotgun.
cyberpunk 2077.. oops i bumped a pedestrian.. now the ncpd is gona force me to get out my car.. hide in a corner till it expires while my life drifts past.
and then... moba's... idk why i have to have riot games remove my ability to see the enemy so they can win.
