LOL just kidding
And yes. It did hurt.
Edit:
As far as I can remember, I think I was playing football.
the doctor immediately suggested it might be my gallbladder and they were instantly correct. my gallbladder was the most inflamed they had ever seen, it was so large it was wrapping around my liver and strangling it. it was so big they could not safely remove the entire thing without cutting into my liver, which would have required me to wear a colostomy bag until it healed.
the surgeon did not wish to put me through this because i am young, so they instead did a partial removal and left me with a "remnant gallbladder". the hope is that the tiny piece of gallbladder will shrivel up in the next year or so.
Hope your recovery is going well Sal.
thank you. its going okay. i still get occasional cholecystitis in the remnant gallbladder and it does hurt, but not NEARLY as bad because i only have about a quarter of my gallbladder left and it can no longer produce gallstones. i more or less just have to deal with that occasional pain until the little bloody thing shrivels up and dies.
Had to go in for emergency care because my balls risked literally exploding inside me from swelling to the size of an egg but thankfully the doctors got it treated and I made a full recovery
And then I realized this can just happen. There's no preventative measures. Men can just get it.
And yeah it was the worst pain ever and I had to endure a school bus ride with it blurring my vision from the pain before climbing stairs and collapsing in the nurse lounge
a mate of mine had a root canal and his wisdom teeth removed at once and he told me his face felt like a bowling ball had fallen on it for weeks.
Also had kidney stones and 2nd degree burns (both thankfully small), where the pain doesn't spike quite as high but last longer.
