But you'll see more and more outages as the internet continues to die...could still take decades

There was a MASSIVE DDOS attack a few days ago. I have experienced elevated levels of general random disconnect ever since, though its not as bad as the first couple days.

I'd bet a coin flip this is related to that issue.
