Yesterday I went to a Walmart and decided to buy some Pokemon Cards after about to be finish shopping for groceries.
...And when I came to the isle... almost all the card stock was gone and only Yu-gi-oh and Magic cards were left.

All except one Pokemon Starter deck that has Deoxys as it's star.
And multiple other cards that came along with it.

...It was the only thing left due to everything is just gone cause scalpers.
And this is just my first step into going back to collect cards for a CHILDREN'S CARD GAME cause I liked collecting them as a kid.

...Unfortunately this first step included Gardevoir in it and 4 Hops (The rival from SwSh) and for some reason the cursed balloons.
...At least I got 18 Psychic energy cards. Cause I barely have a lot of them. And a play mat, damage counters, and special status counters, and a play coin to flip all for 11 bucks and some cents.

...Still doesn't change the fact that the entire Pokemon section was gone like what you seen on Youtube videos.

This is probably the only "horror" experience i'll probably gonna get in real life for this month that isn't a tragedy or something happening in the political spectrum that is going to affect the economy for everyone.

I worked in a store during COVID people were spending $500 or more on pokemon cards to get rare cards that you can sell for Alot. I checked my yi gi oh collection I've got a few cards worth $10 maybe in a few years they might be worth something.
pokemon cards are the current NFTs and they arent a childrens game, 95% of the audience is adults
blame pack openers like charlie who completely mogged the entire TCG hobby during covid. prices and stock are whack now
I have a sealed booster pack from Sword and Shield that came in a cereal box. I wonder if I should keep it sealed or sell it.
