One thousand? Five thousand?
I assume the drivers door wouldn´t open / close with his car. Never had this issue myself. Either that - or it´s a hidden message for sleeper terrorists.
Or I guess modern ones have the wireless keys but those are expensive.
1 out of 4 remote door lock mechanisms saved; efficiency.
you unlock 3 doors and your 3 other riders get in while you use the key on the main door and get in; they are now settled while you are strapping in and turning on the car. nobody is making a ruckus in mr/mrs dad's car, and you're in total control. if you hate them you can just not unlock your own door, lock theirs, and walk away in the time it takes them to figure out you did this. an efficient head start.
