Not many people hate america, they just despise the system they live in. I havent been to the US so far, but pretty much all people that have say the people are very welcoming, friendly and less complicated. Its just the governemnt that sucks ass, doesnt matter who is in controll.
Topic:
It´s not much different here. If someone questions the country or the freedom in the country the first thing You hear is a comparison to the worst countries the people can think of. I for myself don´t think that these replies or comments are very convincing if it´s about the actual state in the country. Usually if it´s about competition You would always compare Yourself to the best. If You don´t do this You can´t be better than mediocre. Imho if You don´t do this You´re not fit enough to participate in the competition to begin with. Like there´s nothing wrong to lose in a competition, or to be second, or third - but the aim at the start should be to win the thing, else one can rather stay at home and watch how motivated people do it.
And it´s beyond me how countries in which the business is all about competition, and sports, and even private life for many - how these countries chicken out of the competition if it´s about questioning freedom or other social achievements. One could almost think that all the thoughts about competition are just made up, so that many people compete in the endeavor to make a few people rich.
depends where you choose to send them
if you send them to china... well life is easier and better in communist china than it is in democratic USA
if you send them in belarus, they might indeed see a harsh life and decide to return to the USA
not all communist countries are the same, and nor are the democratic countries. Also, USA is not the best country in the world, not sure it's still top 10, maybe it will be again in the future
Your huddled Workers yearning to breathe Collectively,
The wretched Elves of your teeming shore.
Send these, the Cheerless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my Mistletoe beside the golden door!
Send them to the Democratic Elves' Republic of The North Pole.

aye, vice news did an incredible documentary on them before they became rubbish. north korea has a (surprisingly) thriving tourism industry. and yes indeed, the government basically puts on a massive "show" or "play" for the tourists to make it look like a normal, average country. the tour guide will show off internet cafes of north koreans sitting in absolute silence staring at blank web pages, or in restaurants eating incredible meals they would never have access to otherwise.or a beach filled with citizens relaxing, but they will all be quiet and eerily distant.
you follow the tour guide at all times and are not allowed anywhere they say you cannot go. you can only take pictures of what they say, and you can only visit very specific locations.
sounds terrifying, but i would honestly like to do it one day.
