Why is the EU a colony of the US?
American bases are in EU countries, and European leaders are under US control.

Can anyone object?

There are US bases all over but that does not mean the leaders are under US control.

This is not China.

Everywhere, where is that?
After World War II, the EU became a colony of the US.
Because the US is economically, military, and culturally far more powerful. It's not just our military bases all over Europe, but also our stores, restaurants, foods, clothes, movies, music, websites, heck, even our form of English is taking over England.

Ulfrinn? Did I ever say anything bad about the US?
The US is doing everything right for its country.
But the EU is currently a colony of the US.

Did I say you said anything bad? I was pointing out the influences go far beyond military bases, and it's because in these areas mentioned, the US is a far more powerful entity.
"colony" is a significant exaggeration, but the answer is summed up in one word:

petrodollar
I'm just waiting for Denmark and Greenland to kick the US base there out.

It's pretty cool how Okinawa has developed it's own fusion culture with all the American influence. Although there's periodically shameful incidents with American navy people misbehaving and breaking laws, and organized campaigns to shut the navy bases down.

Then why is the MAGA and Americans whining about how horrible the EU is to them?

Great, get your own language then.
It's because EU leadership is a joke. And not even a funny one.
