Publisher locking a game behind a pre order.
The japsanese publisher behind "Double Dragon Revive" has locked the game "Double Dragon Dodgeball" behind a pre order. Which means, you can't get Double Dragon Dodgeball without having pre ordered Double Dragon Revive. Which is the most scammy practises I've seen so far.

Where are the usual youtube grifters like Asmongold and penguinz0 inflating it into a big story?

Or we don't mention it since it's a japsanese company doing it and they seem to be the 'good guys', they're allowed to get away with everything?

I mean, imagine the outrage if a western AAA game publisher would do it.

Maybe they aren't outraged because they don't care.
TLDR. Do not preorder any game ever, for any reason. It's a scam. They do not run out of copies.
Can someone explain the point of pre-ordering a game on steam?
I don't know the modern Double Dragons. If they want to teach people how to lose customers then that is on them.
This is a scummy thing to do.

I think I recall Rayman Origins doing something similar, if you pre-ordered you'd get a copy of Rayman 2, which you cannot purchase on Steam by the way.
