I've also seen wii fit as well.
I do exercise... but its more like a lot of walking rather than a workout.
...VRChat has motion capturing as a way to exercising as well... unless you count sex in VRChat with full body motion tracking as a workout. Cause moving your arms a lot and not moving your entire body does not count as exercise if you ain't lifting weights which most of the time VRChat players don't actually do a lot.
Not a damn thing wrong with getting your ass up and moving during downtime.
Why?
The presence of the Wii Fit avatar in Smash Brothers Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch would lead me to believe that the Wii Fit is still in the zeitgeist. Ergo, nobody wanted to state the obvious. The Nintendo Wii preceeded the XBox 360 Kinect, with the Wii ("Revolution") being announced in 2004, and the XBox 360 Kinect ("Project Natal") being announced in 2009.
The classic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) having a precursor to the Wii Fit, with the "Power Pad", being mentioned earlier kind of resolved the matter.
There was a Power Pad back then, a Wii Fit exercise board later replaced it, cameras rivaled it, and now we're in the JoyCon era.
Back to the Future II might be perturbed of the notion of being 180 degrees incorrect ("You have to use your hands!?").
ring fit adventure on the switch is a pretty good modern version of this. fun game, good exercise
