the worms sense fear. and the moment you allow that fear to take hold, the worms will claim their host.

Fear is something that one should always attempt to conquer, nobody wants to live their life in fear.
some fears are hard to overcome, like the fear of losing a loved one. but common fears should always be faced head on and conquered by using logic.
dead silence is scary and I mean when even the appliances aren't fragin humming and buzzing
Anyone who tells you they're never afraid is either lying or psychotically disconnected from reality.

We all have things we fear to lose, even if our own lives are not on that list. I am *terrified* of being shot in my classroom not because I fear death, but because I don't want my wife or students to have to cope with that trauma.

The key to dealing with fear is not to deny it, but to find a motivating force that is stronger than the fear; in the instance of classroom violence, I am more afraid of not being there for my kids when they need me than I am of being ventilated by some emotionally maladroit goober who's such a coward they'd rather take their issues out on relative innocents than facing them themselves. I would much, much rather face a student with a gun (I've already had to do this once in my career; no shots were fired, but threats were made) than be safely at home reading about one or more of my kids never going home again without my having been there to try to help.

Fear is acceptable. Letting it make you its ♥♥♥♥♥ is not.
Being scared and fearful gives you a opportunity to be brave and courageous, everyone gets scared sometimes and its totally fine to feel that way. One of the best feelings in the world is facing your fears and overcoming them <3 :bluerune::luv:
Fear is a lack of understanding,

it's OK to not understand, so long as you engage in the process of knowing.
Yup. But is it scary to be ok?
"Fear is the mind-killer."
Fear is the body's response to something potentially threatening. To be scared is a form of self-preservation. It's totally normal and acceptable. And trying to overcome your fears is a good thing, too, but don't beat yourself up if there are some you don't get over. We all have things we're afraid of.
Fear isn't always a choice, especially for people with severe phobias
