That was a great answer, thank you very much, I appreciate your thoughts.
Same as always: Silver. Gold. Funds. Real estates.
And a new jar of peanut butter and green apples.
if from a lottery : 25% lottery tax.
if from an inhertance : 20%
if a straight gift.. 42% income tax
and ofcourse each year I own it I will also be paying wealth tax of about 1.6% of what remained at 1 januari of that year.
=======
but presuming you give me more than 1 million to cover all these taxes at least for the first year.,
-I would buy a house (average house price in my nation is over 500k.. and impossible to get a morgage even on my above median income..
it is unlikely to be a nice house need couple million for that... but a terraced house with a garden should with a million to spend at least be possible.,., if you stay out the big cities..
-the rest.. I would use part of to get training.
**likely get another phd.. that will cost me likely 100k
**and might splurge and also get that harp I always wanted for 30k.. and go take lessons even if those are a tad expensive at 300 euro a week..
the rest likely about 300k left... would ass to my high divident stock portfolio
(I not care about the value of the stock I hold only that it gets me relative to what I originally paid for it as much divident as possible as well as strable.. reliable compagnies with solid buisnuiss records but a stockpricedrop are golden... crap compagnies that have stock prices tripple every year but never pay divident and have not made a cent in profit I avoid...
I hate volatileness reliable and boring I like..
if I buy a 100 euro stock and it pais 6-7 euro divident every year and has done so 30 years and will do so 30 more years.. I not care if the stockprice rises or drops.. I only care it pays my divident and has a structural sound fbuisnuiss it can keep doing that possible forever...
I am aware of the many taxes. :(
Nice guy
Why do you hate roses bro, what did they ever do to you?
Idol money is useless... billionaires suck at live and have no clue to how much of a slave they are to money. It's the same deal as being dirt poor, if not even worst. Become financially wealthy instead and don't let money control you. I ironically pity the ultra-rich more than I do the poor. Who are still willing to share what little they have... have more of a life and less controlled by it. It's what the bible actually calls as being a vampire, leeching off others (not blood, but money). Doomed to never be satisified or even get to enjoy what they got.
