These days usually all games from the west usually are published under the same name world-wide. But it has happened in the past, that the name of a US release and a European release were different.

For example "Fahrenheit" was called called "Indigo Prophecy" for whatever reason.
"Broken Sword : The Shadow of the Templars" was renamed to "Broken Sword: Circle of Blood"

And then there are even stranger instances like "Command and Conquer: Red Alert" being called "Command & Conquer 2: Alarmstufe Rot" (Red Alert) in Germany. Which resulted in the problem, that the actual sequel "Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun" was called "Command & Conquer 3" in Germany. And C&C Red Alert 2 was not renamed.
Which means in Germany we have
"Command & Conquer"
"Command & Conquer 2: Alarmstufe Rot"
"Command & Conquer 3"
"Command & Conquer: Alarmstufe Rot 2"

So... yeah.

This is almost as stupid as the way the Pirates of the Carribean movies were called.

"Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl" --> "Fluch der Karibik" (literally "Curse of the Carribean")
"Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest" --> "Pirates of the Carribean: Fluch der Karibik 2" (A combination of original english title and sequelised German name of the first movie)
"Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End" --> "Pirates of the Carribean: Am Ende der Welt" (First part ofthe title english, second part the correct translation of the At World's End into German)
