It's kind of open view. The reason why at ww2 sea war was beyond the horizon and hyper speed projectiles are to shoot beyond and before the other that russia already has a weapon who can take out a ship but it travels up to 12 times speed of sound and simply unable to stop by the velocity. China has it, usa has it, europe has it as well and it can be mounted with a warhead.

Drones are for ground control to take out vehicles as it need visual to attack. Sea is satellite and beyond horizon that scouting a ship is already too late. Perhaps if it's a cloudy day but ships can travel.

I'm curious how much it would've cost the US government to intercept the alleged drug boats instead of blasting them. I'm certain the cost of gas far outweighs the cost of explosives and increased tension with our neighbors.
