Video games is making a boat out of popsicle sticks with your friends. John tells you you’re not allowed to build double mast because he did it first. So for the rest of time at your job of making boats from popsicle sticks, you’re unable to give your customers a good product. John built one boat their entire life, you make them for a living. John is blocking your artwork because they did it first.

Like, what makes humans successful is the ability to learn and teach all kinds of stuff. Why lock knowledge behind a paywall? Ah right - it´s about making money, that´s above all. Sometimes i think it´s about humans and having a good time. Silly me...

You could technically use that argument for everything in court but unfortunately laws have to be complicated (wording should be less formal though 🤔)
