What makes 2B female?
You have to wonder.

Wasn't 2B a "companion droid" that was just capable of fighting? That could imply the incel fantasy of robot waifus roaming the streams harassing lonely men theory.
The tits and ass help.
you can just tell by the way it is
Having feminine traits and being very beautiful
what makes A2 the superior robot waifu over 2B?
Like in Jurassic park, did you check under their skirts.
Because YoRHa androids were specifically designed to resemble humans, and humans have gender. They were built around preserving the illusion of human survival, hence the gendered appearance and emotional mimicry.

Why make them look so idealized and attractive then? Because the designers of the androids were going for aesthetics. Their appearance basically serves propaganda purposes, rather than functional necessity.

That's the in-world explanation at least. The real explanation is because Yoko Taro likes the way they look, and that, from a creators perspective, is all the reason you need.

As for whether she's... ahem... anatomically correct. Well some things are left to the imagination still.
Body shape + emulation of female bone structure despite being an android

And being attractive as hell

Nothing.
They even question why they look the way they do and state it was probably 'to the appeal of their creators'.

A2 is supposed to suggest this a bit more showing its rot/degradation. I think applying a gender to robots is more a commentary about us than them.
2B is not female. 2B is just a robot made in the image of a female, as she is not a biological organism. Considering 2B to be female would be be like likening ordinary men to God, because man was made in the image of god.

However with that having been said, robots made in the image of animals are often made to be substitutes for the real thing, so they are often referred to as if they are the real deal. That is largely just a game of pretend though. No different from treating G.I. Joe action figures as real American manly-man soldiers, or Barbie dolls as quintessential valley girls.

Dr. Katherine Pulaski was technically correct to call Data an "it" though.

Tasha, D'Sora, McKenzie and the Borg Queen would disagree.
