They're all trash.

Only the CGI movies and miniseries are canon. The live action junk is all crap (not counting the Stage Plays).

Death Island was a bit short and disappointing, but seeing the whole gang together, including Jill fully recovered after her ordeal, was awesome.

I only care about the CGI ones. Either Resident Evil: Death Island or Resident Evil: Vendetta

the cgi resident evil films are all class, its hard for me to pick just one. if i had to i would say the strongest overall is probably damnation. vendetta probably has the most over the top goofy moments, which is very "resident evil", so it is also enjoyable.

for the live action ones the first film is by far the best one, as it attempts to be something unique and mostly removed from the video game series. the sequels and reboot that followed tried too hard to introduce things from the games or lazily follow them.

the laser hallway scene was so great that it actually inspired the GAMES instead of the other way around.

For those who don't know,
Resident Evil: Degeneration and Infinite Darkness take place between RE4 and 5.
Damnation is shortly before RE6.
Vendetta and Death Island are a couple years after RE6.

Also, BIOHAZARD THE STAGE is right before RE:Revelations 2.

BIOHAZARD THE EXPERIENCE's place in the timeline is unknown.

i am actually looking forward to zach creggers (barbarian, weapons) upcoming resident evil film. like the first milla jovovich film it is going to be an original story and not feature any characters or many plot points from the games.

i think this is the best way to go about it for these live action films, because every time they have tried to mimic the games the films just came off as cheap and corny. and not in a fun way like the games.

Capcom needs to license the live action it to South Korea instead of MURICA then it might get something decent.
