Mating: Two earthworms align in an inverted position, so their ventral surfaces face each other, and intertwine, exchanging sperm.
Sperm exchange: The worms press their clitella together, and sperm is passed from each worm into the other's sperm receptacles.
Separation: After the exchange, the worms separate and secrete a mucus ring from their clitella.

Sounds kind of gay ngl. I prefer the pp fencing.
