IDK, "leftist" is such a fickle term. Since this year, I've seen my share of people dedicated to the left just switch sides since there's nothing to gain from it, and vice versa in the past. I mean, I have more respect for people who've stuck to their guns (no pun intended :P).

I think its a good compromise. Leftists claim to want less guns, so if they are not hypocrites they should be all for it.
