Yes, people are willing to die to defend the constitution
It's called having principles, and ideals.

If you don't understand this, then you apparently have none.

"Against all enemies, foreign and domestic" so says the oath of enlistment for the Army, and the oath of office for the senate.
Then I guess I dont understand it.
I mean, he had security so it seems he wasn't willing to. It just happened.

Though let's not act like he was out there on the front line defending constitutional rights.
As an African-American the constitution barely protects me, if at all.

Yeah when its time to go I am getting out.
Not a soldier, don't even think I could even fight because they don't want someone who they consider disabled and brown to a point where someone might wanna green card me. I stand by what the Constitution says still, regardless of whoever is in office or whatever political party has taken the helm. We are meant to be a beacon in a dark world, yet we're no better. That's what we were founded upon.
I am disgusted by our government and their allowance to have horrific tragedies to occur and for violence being the only way for change to even be considered, both positive and negative

He was, though the war is unconventional, which means the front line is anywhere. He fought with his words for what he believed in.

I have sworn that oath, several times.

You said Army so is it safe to assume you haven't taken that oath? If you had, you should know that oath is for all who serve, not just those serving with the Army.

No, I haven't. I defer to your experience.

A lot of things written down seem to be (As Capt. Barbossa said) "More what you'd call guidelines" than rules.

Also... Is this related with people in the goverment having a large disregard for the rule of law or this is prompted off an unfortunate recent disgrace costing a life?

Nevermind I already got the answer.

Considering the US already have their modern day equivalent of the Hitlerjugend and the Gestapo... I'm not putting my money in the happy ending.

These days I'm just wondering what's going to be the modern day Reichstag fire.

The constitution only applies to US citizens, hope that helps.
