Though that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a huge amount of cheaters considering the low financial bar to entry for valve games.
Because people tie their own ego into gaming skills- the cheating turns into a massive blow to the collective self-image of gamers everywhere.
The trick is to not take it seriously if you play online at all- but not everyone has reached that step yet.
Hence why I haven't played it in half a year. Good riddance.
It's full of people complaining they didn't cheat when they did cheat, and trying to act innocent, saying stuff like "my brother played on my account and must have installed cheats"
Cheat creation is a multimillion dollar business.
And people are generally awful and continue to buy cheat apps.
I noticed theres like peepl who browse the VAC forum 24/7 to tell every single cheater their ban is not reversible and that they should contact steam support. Not staff but just random users. What the hell kinda hobby is that? xD
Maybe they get a kick and feel smart telling kids what to do
It's a weird mix of boredom, ego, and schadenfreude. Some people just really like being the annoying voice of authority without actually having any authority. See also the Suggestions / Ideas forum.
