Iirc Collective Shout is funded by an Evangelical group and the the CEO has very strong anti-abortion stances despite claiming to be a modern feminist.

So this very well could be religious conservatives trying to interfere with video games/media, again.

The issue is that most people think "woke" is tied into socialist politics (it is not)
If you look at the US, then it is a national conservative party, that pushed some of what people call "woke"

Woke is a wrong word for it, as that means being aware of socio-economic injustice and none of that is part of modern "woke" termonology.. instead what people seems to dislike is.

Political correctness, inorganic injections, qouta basings and making the avarge person a villain. We could also add censorship to this and limiting privacy.

Yeah, that's what woke meant in the 90s when it was used in academic settings. That's not what it means in 2025.

Today, wokeness is the elevation of identity politics and equity as defining virtues over all else. It comes across as completely pandering and inauthentic, and this is why it's widely rejected in almost all forms of media that it's infected.

Space Marine 2 was good. It didn’t have “wokeness”, it had space facism. And it was incredible.

It's not really left or right. It's more the way that governments and companies would rather cave to a very noisy minority rather than take the media noise.
These people have learnt that if they make enough noise they can get things done.
That is not the way politics works and it shouldn't be the way it works. But when a country outlaws any radical action by minority groups they are promptly labelled anti-freedom of speech and authoritarian.
Problem is that people want radicalism when it agrees with what they think and they want it clamped down on when it doesn't. Can't have it both ways.

Conservatives aren't left leaning though. She may call herself a feminist, as a wolf would don sheep's clothing. But she's a conservative fundamentalist Christian.

She and organizations she's worked with have tried to censor other feminists who're critical of them via threats of lawsuits.

Oh camparing globally the US left is still definitely right-leaned. However Collective Shout is Australian, not American.
