Maybe this only works for me or not but I feel adding your workout right before bed is generally the best time to do your workout
I don't workout often because I expend my energy just doing normal things but if I feel I have surplus energy, the best time to do it is right before bed

Sleep much better than if I didn't do it at that time.

Doing it in the morning or the middle of your waking hours is counter intuitive since you should be using the energy for normal things.

Thoughts?

if you can sleep through the ghrelin, sure why not.
You'd get to immediately rest/heal afterwards too, so I can see that being good

...the hard part is actually DOING it without just wishing you were asleep
That's great you found what works for you. It won't work for everyone and that shouldn't be surprising. People have different schedules, different needs, different workouts and preferences.
I find that I can do more reps toward the evening and end of the day. My morning seems a bit slow and low-energy.
idk, maybe because of what I eat during the day and that it takes a little while to process into energy.
I have a somewhat fast metabolism so I'm a mostly lean-meat popsicle.
Though my usual bedtime (for several years) is between 1AM and 3AM, not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.
The S in your name kinda looks like a swastika.

I never mentioned diet. No reason you couldn't grab a bit before bed.

Now that's an excuse I haven't heard before.
Too much adrenaline for me.
Same for different reasons, i prefer the night cold breeze and the quiet is also something i appreciate, it's also easier to cooldown due to ambient temperature dropping quite noticeably in comparison to daytime.

Mornings issue stems with the region waking up so car traffic and after an hour sometimes less sometimes a bit more it starts to get hot to the point where it becomes unpleasant to workout.

Daytime to much going on, cars, noise, high temp unless it's winter time, ...

For swimming it may be unpleasant for those that prefer water slightly below 0, besides that anytime of the day, it should feel fine and even pleasant.

I don't get munchies post workout, i do get thirsty. So as long as it isn't before a meal no munchies for me.
It's pretty widely known that doing exercise just before bed is a good way to not sleep.

Some exercises are perfect for it though tbf.

In my mind exercise is weight lifting, I guess there's some other kinds of exercise, maybe like a yoga thing, that might be better suited for a nighttime session.
Doing gym before dinner is best for me. Working out before sleep seems doable but I would be full from dinner and trying to tone down for the night. Mornings are great and its harder as the body isn't warmed up but I found it has the pressure of time if you are one with a busy schedule and life.
I also find sex right before sleep to be restful.

try doing a 10 hour shift and 3 hour commute then see how you feel about working out after that
