It is a vital personal choice and a moral obligation (just like so many any other choices you make in your life). More and more people are dropping out of school, joining a religion and/or viewing expertise and scientific evidence with distrust and animosity.

If you are having a difficult time in your life, there is really no constructive reason to chronologically regress. Always choose to be curious and evidence seeking. Seek out new friends and social settings that work towards secularism, humanism and that supports the scientific method.

Know that at times when you feel alone in life there are millions of others who feel the same way in the same exact moment. You have a moral obligation to support those communities and individuals that have chosen the difficult option not to regress - but to work towards truth and honesty progressing the world forward instead of regressing it backwards.
