Keep The Kids Away From The Smut.
Explicit Content Exists.

They do not need to see it. They do not need to suffer it.

Let them be.

Let them romance naturally.

you should stop thinking about kids in the context of romance, too
Somewhere a leftist is typing a furious rebuttal.

Not really.

Kids shouldn't be allowed to see that stuff. Luckily kids can't have Steam accounts unless they're 13 or older. But until they hit 18, they shouldn't be allowed to anyway.

The responsibility is on the parents to ensure this.

I didn't say what the rebuttal would be to.

Looks you proved me right .
Yeah, keep kids away from that stuff, it messes with their minds like it did for a younger me where I didn't understand what moderation meant (even then with what I went through, it didn't matter much)

It's pretty clear what you were referring to, but that's okay. You can move the posts if you wish instead of agreeing with what I said.

You do know that it's mostly the right that actions age restrictions? It was the right-wing party in the UK that started the Online Safety Act that so many people are complaining about.

I did and now life is boring.
I wouldn't recommend it.
I wonder why op felt the need to make this thread.

Nah. Not a leftist in the true sense, though I oppose Trump, so I suppose that makes me a "lefty" in the "Anyone who doesn't agree with me 100% of the time is a Leftist" sense our moronic timeline has led us to.

But honestly? Kids shouldn't be exposed to graphic sexual content. I'm not a prude, and I actually have no issue with pornography itself, but early exposure can really screw up a young person's understanding of sex and how real, healthy relationships generally proceed.

Then again, I also feel like exposing them to violent content too early is a bad idea, too. Video games do not cause violence any more than porn causes sexual assault, but desensitization to violent or sexual content early in life can lead to a poor understanding of their real-world equivalents, which can in turn lead to poor empathy development.

So, in broad strokes? Yes, keep this material the hell away from kids.

It's always going to be odd to me, though, that here in the US an awful lot of parents seem to be okay with--or just don't care enough to prevent--their kids playing Call of Duty or GTA V. Violence is fine. But heaven forefend that they should see a breast or know what sex is.

Again, I'm against exposing anyone to this content too early--but it's just weird that so many are okay with their kids being exposed to acts that *end* life, but not the one that creates more.
