i actually decided to check and apparently peoples are divided. naruto definitely attacked many opponents with the intention of killing them, but the finishing blows were always by someone else. or they died in other ways. he killed a bunch of white zetsus, but unsure if that really counts.

that honestly would have been awful, really. aang is consistently told he will HAVE to put aside morality and kill the fire lord, which he has constant angst about because he is very against violence in general. so when he does finally face the fire lord and finds a way to defeat him without killing him it fits very nicely with his character, and a subversion of fate.
but i guess it would have been kind of funny to see the fire lord fade away like he was thanos snapped.
aye, its a shame nothing else that followed quite hit the same heights. korra has some really incredibly good stuff, but also some really bad stuff. and the live action films and shows are just dreck.
