Just gotta put yourself out there. Be the initiator. It's hard and it sucks but you gotta put yourself out there and try to meet people. See if someone wants to grab lunch with you, or study with you, etc etc etc.
It may help if you find and join some kind of club.
Well give it time. How long have you been there? It takes time to build familiarity.
And, again, be the initiator. Reach out to them and ask if they want to hang out.
keep trying. lot of social zombies these days who are unsure how to interact with others in public, a curse of the increasing reliance on the interwebz. but there still exists peoples who would love to be your friend, go to bars and hang out with you and such.
cool study focus, pal of mine went to uni for history as well. love hearing him gab about such things, you become a great storyteller with such an education.
I am a big fan of history but you have to know what you are getting yourself into and you have to form professional connections or have a plan of some kind. Historians aren't in massive demand in a world where we try to erase our own history.
If you are still with it in a year or two aggressively seek out internships or co-ops or stuff like that. You NEED to get some experience and connections under your belt.
