No need to specify. The protests are about unfettered immigration in general.
I live in the nevada desert in the middle of nowhere at least 10(?) miles from vegas. I am quite separate from all that stuff atm.

Immigrating to the US let me live in the US.

I haven't immigrated in a while. It quickly loses the appeal after the umpteenth sets of forms, bank statements, and social media accounts you have to hand over in order to get a terrible piece of artwork in your passport.
I am not an immigrant so I have nothing to say about it.
It helps paying our public services

One of my best friends is a legal immigrant. Very smart dude.

Illegal immigrants are exploited for their cheap labor and they overburden our social services and safety nets. And there are a number of other negative externalities.

In addition, illegal aliens give Democrats undue power in Congress because illegal aliens are counted in the census. That affects the House of Representatives and the Electoral College. In addition, blue sanctuary states get more federal funding due to illegal aliens.

It's no mystery why Biden opened the border and why Democrats are fighting ICE at every turn.

Yes

  1. Less jobs available for citizens, which has a cascading effect on everyone and suppresses wages as well.

  2. They get tons of welfare and free sh*t, in some cases the resources/funding comes away from programs that I may need to utilize.

  3. They help inflate housing prices ensuring most people in my generation will never afford a home.

  4. In some cases they are from cultures that are too radically different and incompatible leading to some societal breakdown (this is a bigger issue in Europe than the US tbh).

Those are just talking points. How have you been personally affected?

  1. My wages are suppressed too.

  2. Neither I nor my loved ones could get housing assistance and we both have to wait longer to receive healthcare in the hospital.

  3. Can't afford a home, can barely afford rent.

  4. I feel uncomfortable and unsafe in many areas of my own home region.
