The ban was found "excessive" doesn't mean you were found not guilty of the ban. It can also mean the length of the ban that you were given is excessive which originally is a month long ban.

It also means you got away with it this time. The next ban would not be so fortunate as the last one.

that the issue with the mods compared to the old mods. Currently they ban some people who break the rules and some people who don't.

Maybe they thought you meant high. Which tbh i'm high right now and i don't really think that's a problem.
