Returned my Xbox Series S with the wrong controller
It was a complete accident, I just dropped off my Xbox series S to UPS as I just dont like it, on my 4k tv, I favor my steam games and pc.

That said, I have a xbox one S controller that looked nearly identical that I use on my pc. When I got home I was cleaning up and went to play a game when my controller didnt work. I thought the batteries maybe were dead and then I realized.

Crap, I gave them my Xbox One S controller.

Now, my question is this, do I contact amazon to return my controller and then return theirs, request a new label and send this controller and hope they return mine? Or play dumb in hopes they just accept the controller?

It was a 100% accident, I had the xbox series s for 3 days and both controllers sat on my desk.

Just dont want to get screwed by amazon, as I read they often depose of the wrong items sent, and then want the original back.

I wont lie, It was an honest mistake but I feel if I call them, I may be out of a controller.

What would you do?

I am most likely gonna call them after I take a shower and accept the fact that I screwed up and bite the bullet that I lost a controller by user error. Last thing I want is a negative rep on amazon.

Thanks. I called amazon, they are printing a label for me, and they said if I dont get my controller back once they get theirs, they would give me a one time courtesy $30 credit, since I contacted them within 2 hours of dropping off the package.

Who says being honest and doing the right thing doent pay? Might not cover the entire cost, but it was my F up and the controller is like 3 years old, so I cant complain.

Always do the right thing, even if it costs.
