You wake up one day to find that you're in a post-apocalyptic world

It has happened. Cities lie in ruins, resources are dwindling, and technology has been forgotten. You must embark on a long journey to find other survivors and try to rebuild civilization. In your pockets is only what you had on you at the time of the disaster. However, you have about half an hour to grab some additional items that could help you. What will you choose from the following categories:

An item for physical survival (e.g., a multitool, water purification, flashlight, sewing kit, first aid kit, knife, tent, duct tape etc)

An item for information and knowledge (e.g., a survival guide, a handbook of edible plants and mushrooms, a diary and pen, medical reference books, library on a hard drive or flash drive, maps, electronics with solar bank etc)

An item for psychological comfort (e.g., a musical instrument, a book of fiction, a journal, your favorite soft toy, warm blanket, or your favorite pet)

You can choose up to three, but not water or food.

My pets go where they please so will follow me if they want to regardless if i took them.

When you're gathered around the campfire with fellow survivors, you need something to ease tension and stress - something that helps boost morale and strengthen the bonds within the group. Without psychological support, a stressed comrade can quickly spiral into panic or psychosis - potentially turning on you, stealing your supplies, or simply deserting, leaving you alone.

You're not going to sleep your whole life. I'd grab a deck of playing cards, a flashlight, and an axe to loot the nearby ruins.

Water purification device, a hatchet/knife (either one will do), a tent. If you can survive a couple weeks, odds are you will make it longer, until winter sets in at least.
