not sure but that light gun works on all types of tv and monitors.

Must be a different type of light gun. Cause I could never get my nes light gun to work right on my lcd tvs.

yeah its not the same.. the one in the links is wireless 2.4ghz with receivers. more like how the wiimotes worked

Old light guns just can't work with LCDs. They use the way CRTs build their images to tell where the gun is pointing, that's why the screen flashes when you shoot. Essentially they know how long it takes for a CRT to fill each scan line, and so they use the time delay between the blank (when the screen is empty) and when the light gun detects the light from the flash to determine what scanline and exactly where on it you are pointing. Or something along those lines anyway.
