I have a copy of the original on my shelf.
Graphics are pretty dated but the game is still one of the best.
I want it to have stats to build. A world to explore in Golden Axe Hyborian style.
Combat scenes varying from the side scroller to first person perspective too depending situation.
Limited trading early on, these are adventurers not traders.
A quest means a quest, they lock onto it and it becomes the game not ' a bit here and bit there' these will either succeed or fail on that quest.
And it affects the world around.
More advanced reputation / Fame building on Darklands.
Factions will gain strength or at least not get wiped out by the actions of the adventurers on quests.
I'm over thinking naturally but that's what i want next Golden Axe.
ofcourse with a simple side scroller arcade style battering game optional.
However, updating a game is much cheaper than making a new one, and makes the game more attractive for people who haven't played it before.
Sure, they don't mind if you're a fanboy and just keep buying new releases.
Do you recommend the modern ones?
