Dev makes a sequel and them buy it
Let's say you make a good videogame.

How many bad sequels would you expect to pull off until them suspect something?

They're as well in belief that the previous games don't exist. You could make 12 games and create an endless loop glitch of selling the same game over again without them notice.

i don't think i can do anything with this, sorry.
I haven't seen COD or Battlefield fans say anything good about their games in more than a decade, but they still keep buying them, so presumably you can get away with a lot as long as you make 1 or 2 good games.

Indefinitely if you can find the right balance.

Mobile games were founded upon the very premise of what you suggested.

PC and console games are finally catching on.
