I don't know if it's 'worse,' you'd have to ask her. Although if she's never exploded before, I'm not sure she'd be able to tell you...

But since it's inward instead of outward, it was at least a lot less messy. All I had to clean up was one pretzel-y flesh lump, unlike all the other times.

It looks like when you close your eyes and put a little bit of pressure against them and then random colour patterns burst.
