Steam is rolling out the requirement for all users in the UK to verify their age in order to access store pages for games with mature content.

So far only a credit card is required. Eventually I imagine some bureaucrat will crack down on it and want more information than that.

It was so people can open games or sites and at least have a quick warning 'this is blah blah blah' so they can choose to enter or not.

Not a new thing at all in the UK I assumed it was same world over.
