Like Superman getting his butt kicked more than has ever happened in any previous adaptation.
Him needing Krypto to save him multiple times. (and Krypto being wildly untrained - making him an EXTREMELY dangerous animal)
The baby not being injured during all that chaotic mess of CGI diarrhea. (which looked so awful)
The "pocket universe" that Lex created suddenly creating a rift that tears the city in half.
Everything about the "black hole"
So many parts of the movie were just dumb. Like inducing eye rolls and groans dumb.
Overall it was entertaining to watch, but it's going to suffer the same problem as many other modern movies. After you see them once or twice, there's simply no desire to watch them again.
Haven't seen it yet but nowadays praise for any movie mostly means "the cast was 90% white males"
I hated how the dog was completely CGI in every scene. Gunn has this weird obsession with putting a CGI animal (or anthromorph) in everything. Is he secretly a furry? It would not surprise me. It's fine, but it's odd he always has to have that element.
It also felt like the movie had little purpose beyond setting up other characters for future projects. Maxwell Lord is setting up Wonder Woman. The "Justice Gang" is setting up the "Justice League". The ending sets up SuperGirl.
The weirdest part is that 'Black Adam' seemed to have setup this 'Superman' movie. Just replace the JSA with "The Justice Gang".
I didn't like 'Man of Steel'. Henry performed the role well. But the direction of the movie was way off.
The dark tone was awful. Not just the story. The muted tones and colors make the whole movie dull. Especially on a re-watch.
the first time was bad enough
