Argentina, southern region.
Madagascar.
New Zealand, altough someone will probably send a nuke there from spite.
Switzerland because the amount of doomsday bunkers and preparedness for it is absolutely crazy there.

Switzerland, they know how to make investments, while rest of the world is railroaded to doom.

Better be dead in nuclear war then live there.
i think its downtown New York because you know why? everyone would assume a nuke already went there and then not send one of their own to minimize waste
The majority of the southern hemisphere is the safest, only a few first-world naval assets and air bases are in places like South America and Africa.

A single detonation is not harmful if you are far enough away, considering that over 200 airborne tests were performed in total and the planet hasn't even noticed.
Additionally, Russell Seitz suggests that Nuclear Winter is not a global phenomenon.

Stupid question cuz it won't happen
Equatorial, because you want to maximize your chances to actually be able to grow food. Assuming you don't starve to death, the biggest danger afterwards are the other people, so an island.
But it needs to be out of the way so it isn't a target or directly downwind of one.

So someplace like the Galapagos.
Canadia. There's absolutely nothing of value in that entire country so no one will bother nuking it.
The people problem is the worst issue as the experience of Selco Begovic during the Balkan Wars (1 year in a sieged city in Bosnia) shows how bad it gets.

The planet has noticed. The air has already been permenently irradiated to the point where you have to salvage pre-hiroshima and nagasaki steel if you want to build accurate radiation detecting equipment (medical normally).

It's why there's a huge industry in illegally salvaging WW1 and WW2 gravesite wrecks.
