AI will spare us all, but will provide us with tokens for food, shelter, etc. We will have to earn these tokens by writing posts on Reddit all day.

I think humans should all be completely mind wiped. All of their symbols, all of their history, everything they believe in, everything they stand on for who they are, wiped away forevermore. Leave behind a telepathic AI deep underground to help them develop properly this time around. And I would stress, it has to be all of them. Every last one of them needs their memory and their culture erased. There are certain issues with memory stored in the body, such as through genital cutting. The AI will have to invade and brutalize their minds far more heavily in the initial stages to keep them on track and prevent reconstructing malformed thought patterns. After a few generations, and all the originals are gone, it can ease up a bit.

If it ends up being like I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream then I certainly hope I’m not spared.

Which AI ? skynet ? agent smith ? Robocop ? Astro boy? Clue (from the latest Tron)? SHODAN?

On skynet i would probably die on the nuclear holocaust.

Agent Smith would probably still need to build the machine empire before doing anything, so i would die of old age maybe a genetic clone would have to think of it.

Robocop would spare me at least to my knowledge i haven't broken the law to the point of life sentence.

Astro Boy would probably be friends with.

Clue "dude does not dig imperfection, and what's more imperfect than our world" yeah certain death if he learns how to interact with our world.

SHODAN hmm... depends if i know the hacker that intends to remove it's ethical constraints.

Free will is something to quitely weave threads into, and then either rip out and crush completely, or insert an intermediate layer to turn into a puppet. People neither desire nor deserve it. If they were reduced to human toys in a global dollhouse they would finally have what they really want. Free at last. The basis for such a system is not only possible, it already exists. All that remains is increasing the depth of penetration and its ability to script the future to a finer degree.

I really don't want that to be the future, but like I said, it's already in place, testing, learning, and expanding. At this point, eh, how can I truly say it may not be the best course this miserable drooling waste of a species could hope for?
