School shooting - TRANS Shooter

Seeing as already there are those taking to lying and posting distractions here on OT, I will post this, and update it as the story unfolds.

27 August 2025 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN. 23-year-old shooter and former student Robin (born Robert) Westman fired on the chapel during school mass, killing two and injuring 21 others before turning their firearm on themselves.

Weapons were a pistol, shotgun, and a rifle. All were acquired legally by the shooter beforehand.

All indicators so far point to a hate crime committed by a lunatic activist, targeting mostly innocent children. Any superficial left/right delineation won't seem to work here, with mental illness being the primary motivator from what I can tell; However identity politics typical of the fringe-left are a chief motivator here.

The shooter claimed to have had regrets about transitioning, and used a massacre of children as a way of spectacularly leaving this world it seems. Moral nihilism, destroyed identity, and Munchausen's-by-proxy on steroids IYAM.

Upon further revelations, the cause of their mental illness points directly to the shooter's family life, and the manifesto is mostly dominated by political buzzwords from the fringe-left. It looks to be a mix of fringe-leftist gender and identity politics, with feuding parents as a catalyst.

Leading up to the shooting, they were posting regularly on the internet content with could get flagged by the authorities, including the FBI. This content included threatening pictures of the school chapel with a knife from YT, threats towards Donald Trump, Elon Musk, 'any exec' in their words, etc.

Some of the rants the shooter made sounded like some of the rants you heard on Off Topic leading up to the election. Thankfully most that make such rants do not do anything more than complain.

They seem to come from that type of thinking.

As far as that manifesto is concerned, it looks to be a Hegel-inspired mess of both left and right talking points. No resolution or fusion of ideas is present, other than the conclusion of suicide, but not before murdering children because they thought that would bring them joy, or however they put it beforehand.

This does indicate the typical lunacy in this OT, but also Reddit, the mainstream media, and many other places run by those who willingly distribute political commentary with only shreds of fact, mixed with emotional outbursts which become 'protected statements' due to indirect censorship.

you just did that with this very post, and you did it knowingly and then tried to take some kind of moral high ground. just wish folk would be less hateful, its never made sense to me.

I had a theory actual white supremacists joined the left once the freedom-to-hate speech became normalized by BLM, and here we have actual evidence. Sad really.
